I'm a freelance webdesigner/developer. So far I've built and designed about a dozen websites, including basic static personal websites, dynamic webshops, corporate sites and complete multimedia database frontends. I mostly use the combination of Django/PostgreSQL/XHTML/CSS for developing websites and Photoshop/Inkscape/GIMP for design work. However, I've also used PHP, SQL, Smarty template engine, javascript/AJAX, Java etc.

I developed a system and web-frontend for distributing multimedia research datasets. The media and possible annotations are organized in a object-oriented system. Users can search for media containing certain characteristics (i.e. search for video of smiling people). The system was built in a reusable manner. This system has so far been deployed for the MMI Facial Expression Database and the SEMAINE project database.
Built on top of Django, using python's xml-minidom and FFMPEG for automatically parsing videos and annotations.
Ayers Rock is an activity centre in The Netherlands, featuring activities such as climbing, mountain biking, canoeing etc. They required a website that was easy to update and flexible enough to convey all the different activities in a structured way.
For this client, I developed and implemented a CMS in PHP/MySQL using the Smarty template engine. The client can easily manage all the different activities, add special offers etc. The design of this page was done by a different agency.
Decolites is a dutch company that sells a large variety of professional christmas and party lights. They needed a webshop that would have a professional look and feel, targeted at restaurants, hotels and municipalities. From the admin module, orders can be tracked, bills and envelopes printed, customers emailed etc.
I designed, planned and implemented this webshop from scratch in PHP/MySQL.
